Your wedding invitation is the ultimate teaser of your wedding day. It contains several stationery pieces which you could get personalized depending on your needs. But, before buying any pretty note card in sight, make sure that you consider your wedding style, timeline of preparation, and most importantly your budget. This could help you achieve consistency and efficiency.
To help you not get too overwhelmed with all the different options out there, here are the basic bridal stationery items that you should include in your invitation suite:
- Outer Envelope – this will hold all the other items of the suite.
- The Invitation – this is also called as the Main Card. This basically contains the names of the Bride and the Groom, their parents, date, time, and venue of the wedding. Basically, this contains the main and most important details about the wedding.
- Reply Card – this is where your guests express their acceptance or regret of their attendance to your wedding day. Considering this, make sure to send them the invitation about 3 weeks before the special day so that they would still have ample time to respond.
- Reply Envelope – together with the Reply Card, this should be pre-addressed and stamped so it’s easy for your guests to send back their RSVP.
- Details Card – of course, it’s a no-no to put all the details on one paper. Thus, this card holds any other details like accommodations, map, transportation, rules in the venue, attire, etc. Depending on your customization, this card can be front and back.
Anything is possible when it comes to your invitation suite. Aside from the basic stationery pieces we mentioned, you could also include some items that would add aesthetics to your invitation. For example, you could use a pretty belly band to wrap the stationery items together. Or include some printed materials that your guests could use as reference on your wedding day and reception. Anything is literally welcome as long as it makes your wedding planning easier and more organized. Remember, it is the ultimate teaser of your wedding day. It should build-up the excitement and make your guests look forward to the most-waited event of your life!
