Couples are now finding creative ways to celebrate their weddings despite the pandemic. And with the current technological capabilities, anything is possible! If you are thinking about having an intimate virtual wedding, here are some tips to keep in mind:
- Decide your location
It’s important to consider where your new venue will be. Indoor ceremonies feel more intimate but it’s better to make sure that there’s enough space to manage social distancing. Outdoor settings like garden or rooftop weddings, on the other hand, provide more airflow and safe distance.
- Set up and decorate
Choose the main spot in your venue where your camera will focus on and decorate it! Reach out to your wedding planner and florist to see if they can modify your initial plan. Because really, what’s a wedding without those lovely decors and floral arrangements?
- Choose a streaming platform
You can stream your wedding via Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Skype, or Zoom. You just need to decide whether you want to broadcast it for people to watch or you want to see and communicate with them as well.
There are already wedding suppliers that are offering live broadcast services.
- Gather an in-person officiant and few witnesses
For legality purposes, it is ideal to have someone physically present to officiate your wedding. You can also invite a few loved ones to serve as witnesses at a safe distance, while the others watch through your live stream.
- Dress-up and enjoy your special day
Keep the ceremony brief but special. It’s your most-awaited day so wear your wedding dress if you want to! It may not be your original wedding plan, but what matters is that you are now married to the person you love the most!
