The Wedding of

His name was Leeuven. Certified papansin.

After her demo, he casually called out, “Miss.”
Angela, internally: “Ako ‘yon.”
Reality: hindi pala. Kasi sa school na ‘yon, lahat ng teachers tinatawag na “Miss.”

Humble moment.

Fast forward—Angela got hired the same day as the graduation in March 2017. Walang pahinga. April pa lang, pinapareport na agad siya to assist in the guidance office under Ms. Analyn Cortez-Replan.

And guess who was always around?

Leeuven.

He was doing basketball summer training, so madalas silang nagkikita. Then came lunch outs. Then more pagkain sa labas. Then more bonding. Parang unti-unting nagle-level up—hindi mo namamalayan.

By October, dire-diretso na si Leeuven. Walang formal na “pwede ba kitang ligawan?” Basta tuloy-tuloy. Kahit ilang beses na siyang na-busted ni Angela, kasi honestly, hindi pa siya ready mag-boyfriend.

But Leeuven? Hindi marunong sumuko.

Leeuven always had his own version of how things became official. He would jokingly say they were already “engaged” because siya raw ang sumagot para kay Angela—as if he answered his own proposal and that was enough. That’s how they became “in a relationship,” according to him.

True to his personality, he was always one step ahead. He even started planning their wedding long before he actually proposed. And when he finally did—on April 12—it stretched all the way to April 13, as if even time adjusted to his timing. ROFL

Everything about them was unexpected, sometimes funny, sometimes confusing—but always real. What started in the most unlikely way slowly turned into something authentic and magical.

They once dreamed of getting married on their 8th anniversary, perfectly planned and meaningful. But as their story unfolded, they realized something better was being written for them.
