We met through social media, never thinking it would feel this real. It started with messages, slowly became a part of our days, good mornings, late-night talks, shared thoughts we didn’t give to just anyone. Even before we met, we were already connected. Then we finally decided to meet in Cubao.
We arrived early, hearts racing, pretending to be calm while scanning the crowd. When we finally saw each other, time seemed to slow down. The face we knew from the screen was suddenly real, standing right there. Our smiles were nervous, but our eyes said everything words couldn’t.
