It all started on a basketball court, where two paths unexpectedly crossed. A simple meet-up between friends led to an introduction that neither of them knew would change their lives. While one was playing basketball with full energy, the other was quietly seated nearby, completely absorbed in a One Piece manga. What seemed like an ordinary day turned into the beginning of something special. The Groom gave the game their all, hoping to be noticed by the Bride and perhaps, they were. From that lighthearted first encounter grew a bond built on laughter, shared dreams and teamwork. What began on the court has now led to a new chapter. A lifetime together.

First Date

Their first date wasn’t the typical romantic one. In fact, it was quite a funny story. After countless invitations politely declined, the long-awaited “yes” finally happened. Before heading out, the groom waited patiently for the bride in a nearby spot, got bored, and ended up eating balut. His hands, still smelling faintly of vinegar from the dip, became part of the joke when he teasingly made the bride smell them anyway. That playful moment set the tone for the rest of the day. Lighthearted, childish and full of laughter. They later went to Krazy Katsu to grab a bite, then visited a wake for one of the groom’s high school friend. It might not have been the usual romantic first date, but it was real, spontaneous, and sincere. Looking back, it was the perfect beginning. Imperfectly beautiful, genuine and unforgettable.

The story of how they officially became a couple was as spontaneous as the rest of their journey. One evening, the groom asked the bride out for coffee, saying he missed her. But as usual, she kept turning him down, always with an excuse: it was late, it was raining, maybe next time. Then later that night, during a video call with the friends who first introduced them, everyone suddenly decided to meet up. Despite the rain, they all went out together. When the call ended, the groom jokingly said, “So you’ll only say yes if other people are coming too, huh?” and they both laughed. Surrounded by their friends’ teasing, calling them the newest pair in the group. Something just felt right. Between laughter, good ambiance and shy smiles, that night became the turning point. What started with playful persistence finally turned into something real. The beginning of their love story that continues to this day.

We're Engaged

Their engagement was nothing short of magical. For every anniversary, they made it a tradition to celebrate in another country. That year, they chose the happiest place on earth, Hong Kong Disneyland. Their way to explore the world together while healing their inner child. While the bride was on a video call with her maids of honor, showing them the enchanting castle behind her, the groom quietly prepared his surprise. As she laughed and turned the camera toward the castle, he raised the ring high against the sparkling lights. Her sisters on the call gasped in shock before she even realized what was happening. When she finally noticed, she ended the call in disbelief and turned to him, as he asked if she would spend the rest of her life with him. With tears, laughter, and pure joy, she said yes.
