What makes our story even sweeter is that we were actually classmates! We saw each other every single day in school, but Raymund had no idea that the person he was chatting with online was the same shy classmate sitting in the room with his. Being the shy type, chatting behind a screen was my way of getting close to her—a little secret plot twist in our daily routine.
First Date
February 10, 2013
February 10, 2016, marks the day of our very first date at the Grotto Church. I remember holding my breath, thinking it wouldn't happen at all because they woke up late! Since it was our first time stepping out together, my heart was practically pounding against my chest the whole time.
After attending Mass together, we sat down for a simple meal. There was this sweet, shy pause between us—that adorable hesitation right before making a move to hold hands. But the moment our fingers finally intertwined, all the awkwardness vanished, and neither of us wanted to let go."
In A Relationship
March 08, 2013
On March 8, 2013, right after Raymund completed his CAT training, I finally gave him my 'yes.' Before that moment, I actually turned him down twice—I was firm about not wanting a romance that lived only through text or phone calls. I honestly thought he’d give up, but his persistence won out in the end.
In those early months, we had to keep our relationship a secret from my family since I was still young and forbidden from dating. It wasn't easy, but despite the secrecy, we pushed forward together—drawing strength from one another and serving as each other's greatest inspiration.
