First We Met

We both attended a Gender Transformative Workshop organized by Plan International at One Pacific Place Serviced Residences in Makati City. At the time, Vong was working as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in the Cotabato Office, while Pauline was serving as a Communications and Advocacy Specialist in the Makati Office.
Although they both participated in the same workshop, Pauline has no recollection of meeting Vong. Vong, however, noticed Pauline during the event and jokingly thought she had the potential to be his future girlfriend.
First date

A few days before the pandemic began, Pauline traveled to Cotabato to meet Vong in person after months of getting to know each other from a distance. Their first date was a memorable trip to the beautiful Lake Sebu, where they spent the day getting to know each other while enjoying the breathtaking scenery.

The COVID-19 pandemic may have delayed the official start of our relationship, but it only strengthened the bond we had already built. Throughout the lockdown, we stayed connected through countless video calls, supporting and encouraging each other despite the distance.
When travel restrictions were finally lifted, Pauline traveled to Cotabato once again, and we officially became a couple. To celebrate this milestone, we returned to Lake Sebu, where we had our first date, and hiked to Lake Holon—one of the most breathtaking crater lakes we have ever seen. That trip marked the beginning of a new chapter in our journey together, one filled with love, adventure, and countless memories yet to come.
We're Engaged

Five years into our relationship, we decided it was time to begin our next chapter together. Vong proposed to Pauline at our condo in Kai Garden—our very first home together. It was a simple yet unforgettable moment, witnessed by our two beloved cats, Blink and Panda.
