First We Met

Jane and Bressy met around April or May of 2012. Like many couples, there was no immediate spark or sense of importance during their first encounter. In fact, their introduction was quite tense. When Bressy opened the door of an L300 van, he found Jane mid-sentence, angrily venting about him. She was upset because Bressy had failed to help her brother-in-law pick up rice in Sta. Mesa—an errand he missed because he was busy with another girl at the time.

But as they poured their hearts into their shared Ministry work, the friction turned into a spark. Their mutual passion for faith, science, and history drew them together. Bressy began his pursuit in earnest, leading to a first date that was truly 'out of this world.' They spent the afternoon exploring the wonders of the universe at the SM Mall of Asia Planetarium, followed by a classic, down-to-earth Filipino feast at Mang Inasal. Who knew science and unli-rice would be the perfect foundation for love?"

"It happened in Barangay San Antonio. Bressy finally summoned the courage to be the first one to say 'I love you.' But instead of a poetic speech, he borrowed a line from Martin Nievera: 'This is the first time I want to say I love you.' > Jane burst out laughing at first, and honestly, Bressy was playing it safe. He decided to just speak the lyrics rather than sing them—knowing full well that if he actually tried to hit the high notes, it would be such a disaster that they might break up on the spot!
Little did Bressy know, he was already Jane’s answered prayer. And so, under the cool breeze of Antipolo, Jane finally said 'Yes,' making it official."
