Our Love Story
First We Met
January 25, 2026
After months of silently crushing, overthinking, and gathering enough courage, Dan finally sent Ica a message through Facebook Messenger on January 26, 2026.
“Hi.” — Dan
Simple.
Yet powerful.
Meanwhile, Ica had always been curious about this mysterious “Daniel Joshua” whose name she constantly saw on the Top Performer list and on Facebook, but never actually saw around the office because of their different schedules.
So she replied:
“Hey, good morning.”
And Dan, realizing there was no turning back, followed with the confession:
“Hey, good morning… You probably don’t know me, pero I have been an admirer ever since I saw you in the office.”
And kids, that is how one brave “Hi” changed everything. 🤍
Because, as the Lord reminds us:
Do not be afraid.
One courageous “Hi” became conversations.
Conversations became friendship.
And friendship became best friendship—and eventually, a lifetime support system.
First Date
February 02, 2026
On February 2, 2026, Dan officially began courting Ica.
Little did he know, Ica had been praying for years that if God wasn’t going to make her a nun, then her future husband better be:
1. The male version of herself.
2. Her complementary partner—the Yin to her Yang.
Somehow, God answered with a man who was not only both…
but more than she prayed for. 🤍
Then came one of the most wonderfully Millennial moments in their love story.
Dan wrote Ica a secret love letter under the mysterious name “Citrus Sinensis”—the scientific name for dalandan—because he was convinced she wouldn’t figure out who he was.
The letter was read by the engagement team during a company activity, with Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” playing in the background.
Naturally, Ica had to respond.
So she wrote a secret letter back:
“Citrus Clementina.” 🍊
A small, sweet citrus fruit—a hybrid of a mandarin orange and a sweet orange.
Basically, they were flirting through botany and scientific names.

March 03, 2026
So on March 3, 2026, Ica happily said yes to becoming Dan’s girlfriend.
Because honestly…
I didn’t see any red flags, kids. Hehe. 😂
And since both of them already knew what they wanted in life, what they valued, and most importantly, Who they wanted at the center of it all—Jesus—they didn’t feel the need to play games with love.
Exactly one month later…
We're Engaged

They got engaged. 💍

Perhaps one of God’s sweetest graces is this:
When you continue growing closer to Him, you begin recognizing the things that reflect His heart.
You recognize peace.
You recognize kindness.
You recognize safe love.
And when love finally appears, it somehow feels less like finding a stranger…
and more like recognizing a gift God had been quietly preparing all along.
So here we are.
From separate spiritual journeys…
To the same company.
To never meeting.
To a curious glance.
To a wild Pokémon sighting.
To secret citrus identities.
To one tiny “Hi.”
And now…
We’re getting married. 🤍
