First Date

Our first date wasn’t exactly traditional—it was virtual while I'm cooking. Yes, cooking! Haha! Just two people, a screen between us, and a whole lot of curiosity. We talked for hours, laughed at awkward moments but no dull time, and somehow, even through pixels, it felt like we were sitting across from each other.
But the moment everything truly shifted was when he flew to the Philippines. That was our official first date. No screens, no buffering—just us, finally in the same place. From the airport hug to exploring the city together, it was surreal and unforgettable. That day made all the waiting worth it.

After months of talking, laughing, and building something special across screens and time zones, we finally met in person, and we made it official! That visit changed everything.

During his second visit to the Philippines, in March—a trip that already meant so much to both of us. But before he asked me the big question, he did something that made it even more special: he spoke to my son first.

Soon after, he asked me to marry him. No big production, just a moment filled with emotion, sincerity, and the kind of love that makes you feel completely seen.
