First We Met

Al & Jaia's story began in the middle of a global pandemic. Al was a frontliner, working as a Radiologic Technologist in Manila, while Jaia was working from home as a freelance writer.
It all started when Al sent a follow request to Jaia in Instagram. They have a lot of mutual followers and friends but the conversations did not start until March 2021.
First Date
April 10, 2021
Al and Jaia finally met each other in person on March 25, 2021 when Al asked her to accompany him to get his swab test result after he tested negative. They drove to Sta. Cruz, Laguna but Jaia just snuck out of their house.
For Al's POV their official first date was on April 10, 2021 when he asked her if they can drive up to Caliraya. They had McDonald's take out and Higop coffee from Paete.
There were no awkward moments. They just went with the flow. This weekly roadtrips were just the beginning of everything.
In A Relationship

It was expected that these two will meet every Saturday but Al asked Jaia to dress up nicely because they will have a lunch date, of course, in Caliraya. So she "somehow" dressed up.
Al asked her to be his girlfriend through a tasty heart-shaped cake from Haw's Bakeshop. Jaia was in cloud nine and finally, it feels safe.
Their relationship was all about healing their inner children, growing together, and just building a life together.
Since then, the end goal was marriage.
We're Engaged
June 18, 2025
It was a simple and usual random dance session in their hotel room in Hong Kong, their first out-of-the-country trip together, when he popped the question.
Al never finished his speech (he never even started) and Jaia was just there ugly crying.
