First We Met

We first met way back about 20 years ago. I was third year high school and he was on his first year in college but by age, he's older to me just by a year and quite often we would joke about how he was accelerated at school. Haha. I can vividly remember what he looks like back then when we first met, he was wearing jeans and white T-shirt and red cap. He was so shy he does not know how to approach me while I was sitting at the bench from our same high school, Tdel. Nagtatago pa dun sa gilid ng gate kasama si Jay-Jay. There was no love at first sight and since this happened many years back, I really can't recall the exact day we first met.
I can remember the moment but not the date.

First Date

Please forgive me, I really can't recall but I'm pretty sure kwentong Mcdo ito na chicken fillet, rice and soft drinks. We were students with no money but our baons. Sabi niya meron daw sa Ibayo, Balanga hmmm okie. I want to remember and get back to that specific moment but a lot has really happened and for sure this was covered by more core moments and memories.
But looking back, there is this one moment many years ago I could not forget and lemme share the story to you.
Sometime March 2007, sabi niya ihahatid niya na ako sa bus terminal kaya hihintayin nalang niya ako from school so sabi ko, okay. He started waiting at 2:00 P.M. kasi parang intrams nun so expectedly maaga ang uwian but unfortunately, I had to do something and I got out at 7:00 P.M. For five long hours, he just waited for me. Tapos paglabas ko nalaglag ako sa kanal. Lol. The good old happy days.
And God knows how he continues to patiently wait for me all these years.
In A Relationship

So eto na nga. There is no formal tayo na ha. The date we used as our anniversary was the date I gave him a Globe sim card thru his brother. We haven't seen each other here yet! Yep, you read that right. Funny as it was, naka-Smart kasi siya noon at hindi kami maka-unli text dahil wala pa namang unli-text to all networks noon. Lol. I guess we've both agreed perhaps a year after that if not for that date, hindi kami magtutuloy tuloy na mag-text and eventually hindi kami magkikita and we could not have found each other.
It's not a simple Hi-Hello. It's a person looking for another person to share his/her feelings; how a bad day went; how you both want to proceed in life; how a message of encouragement and funny jokes could make everything feel better.
I'm just happy to share my lows and highs, my fears and confidence, my decisions whether it be right or wrong, to the only person whom I know will never leave my side.
We're Engaged

Our first travel abroad together after 18 years of being in a relationship. I knew deep in my heart he'd propose but I have no idea where. Finally, when everything was a blur of tiredness and exhaustion from a day's lots of walking at the most magical and happiest place on Earth, he knelt down and pulled a ring and said, "Will you marry me?" No grand speech. Just the man I fell in love with and the ring on his hand kneeling in front of me. Shocked at the moment, my answer was, "Sure ka na dyan?" OO and a stillness of time ---------- "nakaluhod pa din ako oh" and I said, "Oo, Yes, OO. :))
We've come this far.
