Love Story
First We Met
Mar 16, 2016
We first met on a dating app in 2016. To be completely honest, I wasn’t looking for a relationship at all. I was jokingly hoping for a “sugar daddy,” so whenever his profile appeared nearby, I usually skipped it because I knew he wasn’t exactly rich.
Still, he kept sending polite messages and asking if we could meet. I replied with short answers just so I wouldn’t seem rude, and eventually we stopped talking. His profile disappeared from my radar, and I thought that was the end of it.

A year later, he appeared on the app again and started messaging me once more. By then, I had given him my number after asking him for mobile load (yes, really! 😂). One morning, while my sister and I were jogging and playing badminton at the boulevard, he texted me saying he could see me there. I panicked because we had never officially met, and I was convinced he was some kind of stalker.
Months later, he asked if I could meet him at 7-Eleven, and I finally agreed—mainly because my friend and I were hungry and thought he might treat us. When I saw him waiting in a blue jacket and glasses, I wanted to run away because he was so tall and intimidating. But he looked genuinely kind, and I felt bad leaving him there after he had waited for hours.
That simple meeting led to many conversations, food treats, and rides home that I kept refusing. Eventually, he took me to Kamay ni Hesus Shrine for our first real date. That was the day I saw how gentle, caring, and respectful he truly was
In A Relationship

I first acknowledged him as my boyfriend during our climb at
Mt. Pinagbanderahan. While taking photos at the summit, he kept offering his hand so we could make a heart shape together. I was completely clueless at first, but eventually I realized what he was trying to do.
After I graduated, we traveled to Alibijaban Island with my son, and that’s when I knew for sure. He accepted every part of my life—my flaws, my dreams, my struggles, and my family. Through every success and every setback, he was always there.
We're Engaged

He originally planned to propose on September 21, 2024—my birthday. He had already bought the ring, booked a private Cessna flight, reserved a restaurant, and ordered flowers. But the day before, the flight was canceled because of a flooded runway. He was heartbroken but couldn't tell me why without ruining the surprise.
Meanwhile, I had no idea. On my birthday, all I saw was a boyfriend who seemed unusually quiet. I got upset, thinking he hadn't planned anything special, while he silently watched his proposal fall apart.
A few weeks later, on October 6, he said we were simply going out with my son. During the flight, terrified by the pilot's stunts, I was asked to look out the window. I still had no idea until the plane turned around and flew lower.
There, on the field below, I saw giant red letters: "Will You Marry Me?" As the plane descended, the words grew bigger. He was already holding the ring.
After everything we've been through, it was the easiest "yes" I've ever sa
