Then came our first date—not extravagant, not over the top, but perfectly us.
We simply went out to eat at our favorite chicken restaurant. No grand gestures, just shared laughs, comfortable silence, and that quiet feeling that this… this was something special.
It wasn’t about where we went.
It was about who we were with.
From that simple beginning, we started choosing each other more and more—until one day, it wasn’t just a choice anymore… it became love.
Sometimes, the best love stories aren’t the loudest ones.
They’re the ones that grow in the most ordinary moments—and turn them into something unforgettable.

On his mom’s birthday, in the middle of a day meant to celebrate love and family, we chose to finally define what we had been feeling all along. No more guessing, no more “almosts”—we gave a name to what our hearts already knew.

March 6 felt like a normal night. He invited me to dinner at Rekado’s in Silang, Cavite, and I didn’t suspect anything—it was just another simple date, or so I thought.
When we arrived, he stepped out of the car first, which already felt a bit unusual. Then suddenly, one of his cousins approached me and gently put a blindfold on. My heart instantly started racing.
With a few careful steps forward, I could feel that something big was about to happen. And when the blindfold came off, I was met with the most beautiful surprise—a “Marry Me” setup, surrounded by his cousins who were all there to witness the moment.
And then there he was—nervous, emotional, even admitting later that he parked the car wrong because of how anxious he was.
But none of that mattered.
Because in that moment, he got down on one knee… and asked me to spend forever with him.
And without a doubt, I said yes. 💍
