First We Met

Kat and Jaime met as freshmen at the UP College of Music, where she was studying Music Education and he was studying Musicology. Their early friendship involved an endearing (according to Jaime) rivalry, competing in test scores and tallying who annoyed the other the most that day.
As the school year progressed, daily banter turned into deeper trust. Soon, Jaime felt that something was missing if he didn't get to see Kat that day.
First date

Shortly after realizing that they liked each other, they had their first date at Chocolate Kiss Cafe. Kat ordered beef Salpicao, while Jaime ordered shrimp pasta. They shared a a slice of velvet cake.
Choc Kiss would become a frequent date spot for them, usually after walks around the Academic Oval and Jaime's probably-4th cup of coffee for the day.
In A Relationship

After their first date, Jaime and Kat spent a lot of time together during the summer. Then, on June 16, 2018, after watching a movie, they both agreed to be together as boyfriend and girlfriend.
Jaime and Kat built their relationship on care and trust, and this got them through good times and bad. From conquering the demands of university, battling the COVID distance, graduating, achieving individual milestones in music, and starting their respective first jobs as teachers, Jaime and Kat leaned on each other and helped each other grow in every step of the way.
We're Engaged

On April 24, 2025, during a short Baguio vacation, surrounded by the flowers and greenery of Burham Park, Jaime proposed to Kat after nearly 7 years together, promising to always be there, wherever life takes them.
The rest of the trip was better for it; the food was tastier, the sky looked bluer, and the future suddenly became more exciting.
