Our Love Story
First We Met

Our love story began way back in high school. We became textmates, exchanging messages like two young hearts just beginning to explore the world of romance. But since we were both young back then, our little love story didn’t quite take off. Eventually, the conversations faded, and life took us on separate journeys.
Fast-forward 10 years, Fate decided to give us a little plot twist! We unexpectedly crossed paths again at Starbucks. He was a barista and I was a customer. He later added me on Facebook, and we started chatting casually from time to time. Unfortunately, our timing still wasn’t quite right.
And then, another 10 years passed. He posted Fresh Lumpia from his online food business which I love so I placed an order. Little did we know that one order would lead to endless conversations, talking 24/7, sharing stories, and discovering a connection that had been waiting years to unfold.
Our story is proof that sometimes, love takes the scenic route.
First Date

After months of nonstop chatting, we finally decided to take things offline and meet in person! Our first date brought us to Gubat where we shared lunch. And by shared, we mean we got to witness each other eat with our bare hands right from the get-go! Forget the fancy first-date table manners; we went straight to being comfortable around each other!
We then headed to the UP Oval for a leisurely stroll. We eventually found ourselves at the Sunken Garden, where we spent hours talking about everything and anything. It felt so natural, as if we had known each other forever. What was supposed to be a quick lunch date turned into a whole-day adventure filled with laughter, stories, and deep conversations.
Before calling it a day, we visited the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice. Looking back, maybe God was already writing our love story and answering prayers we didn't even know we had. Little did we know that this simple first date would be the beginning of something truly special.
In A Relationship

Just when I thought our church visit was simply a moment to pray and give thanks, Ton had a little surprise up his sleeve! While we were praying in front of God, he secretly prepared a bouquet of flowers and a sweet little note asking me to be his girlfriend. Talk about a plot twist in the middle of a prayer date!
It wasn't just about the flowers or the question; it was about the promise behind them. Right there, in God's presence, he was making a promise not only to me but also to Him — a promise to love me, choose me, and remain devoted to me from that day forward.
And just like that, a simple day filled with food, long conversations, and prayers became even more unforgettable. Who would've thought that one little note would mark the beginning of our official love story?
We're Engaged

After months of planning and keeping the secret (which deserves an award on its own), Ton finally decided it was time to ask the BIG question during our out-of-town trip to La Union!
It was a sunny Saturday, and while I was busy enjoying the beautiful waves, little did I know that he was busy making waves of his own behind the scenes! He had secretly invited some of his closest relatives and his best friend to witness this once-in-a-lifetime moment.
And then, when the moment was just right, he slowly approached me, got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and asked me to be his fiancé.
My heart was overflowing with happiness, and without a second thought, I said “YES!” Of course, how could I say no to the man who took 20 years, countless conversations, and a Fresh Lumpia to finally find his way into my heart?
What started as a simple beach getaway became one of the most unforgettable days of our lives — the day we went from boyfriend & girlfriend to future husband & wife.
