On the day of our first date, he waited—patiently and without complaint—for two whole hours while I handled the usual whirlwind of hotel emergencies. Little did we know, that wait was the beginning of everything.
When we finally met, we shared a warm bowl of ramen that felt like comfort in a bowl. Afterward, we cozied up with coffee and then wandered through the streets of Makati. We walked without a destination, wrapped in endless conversation, laughter, and a feeling that this—whatever this was—felt just right.
That first date was more than a date. It was the start of us.
