One late night at the beach, a little intoxicated and very hungry, we searched for somewhere to eat. The only place open was a sari-sari store, and the only thing on the menu was pancit canton.
While waiting for our noodles, I told him he should stop courting me. His face instantly fell—until I followed it up with, “Because I’m already going to be your girlfriend.”

What was supposed to be a simple double date at SM MOA turned into the most unforgettable day. After dinner at a Japanese restaurant, we wandered around the amusement park and decided to ride the Drop Tower and the MOA Eye. As we rode the Ferris wheel, Michael Bublé’s “Everything” played softly in the background. When we reached the top, he started talking about us—carefully, since the gondola floor was made of glass and he was a little scared to drop to one knee. Right there, at the peak of the ride, he asked me to be his for the rest of his life.
